I am using a IMAC (newest version) with OSX (latest version) when I connect my WESTERN DIGITAL MY BOOK with a USB CONNECTION it keeps disconnetecting after about 15 minutes. I initialized the drive with OSX. If i try and use TIME MACHINE with the drive, it disconnects after a about 15 minutes. with a message saying the disk was ejeted improperly- u know the message you get if you remove a card/ drive without draging to the trash to eject properly. Thus time machine never gets to back up my data Is there something I need to install to correct this, is it a bug?, is my drive defective? I sent back the first drive I bought from them as it was dead on arrival and they sent me a replacement. now this one is not working properly? I did scan for virus and found none. - ANY ADVICE??? |
