According to this article: http://www.newscientist.com/article/mg20126975.800-how-to-spot-a-hidden-religious-agenda.html it is evidently to prevent common sense from influencing people or being relied on at all:
"If common sense were a reliable guide, we wouldn't need science in the first place."
Ok, all you people. Please abandon hope, all ye who enter science. You may not think for yourself, you may not use common sense, and, above all, you absolutely may NOT challenge or in any way question the ruling paradigm....WHATEVER it is! And as for the rest of you, please remember, the ruling paradigm and those who represent it are always right and we must bow to the priests in white coats.
I'm sorry, but that article is so full of baloney and propaganda and misinformation that it ranks with 'bizarre' on the grading scale. |

When I was little I used to watch a Spanish TV program for kids about the human body. I lived in Cuba by that time and compared to other TV programs I had the chance to watch, this one had a very good animation. What I remember is that it always started with some kids playing outside and somehow the camera "entered" in one of the kid?s body and started to explain the body functions. I can still remember one episode in which one kid catch a flu and then he sneezes and that is when the camera "enters" in his body and started to explain why people get flu and how the human body responded to that. It was very informative and very well done. Another thing I remember is the song, of course in Spanish that said some like that: "La vida es así llena de paz llena de emoción, una flor que nace desde el fondo de tu corazón..." The reason I am saying all this is because I would like to get a copy for my kids, DVD or VHS. If anyone knows where I can get it, please, let me know. |
