My laptop has a 7 pin svideo connection and my Plasma TV has a 4 pin. Does a 4 pin double male cord work in a 7 pin hole? Will the signal get diluded? Should I just use a VGA cable instead?

I once saved myself the $450 cost of replacing my alternator by removing it, rebuilding it and reinstalling it with an $11 wrench (my first,) a $4 brush and a free paper clip. Of course, it required the advice of a 60-year old mechanic to teach me to use the paper clip to put it back together. Still, it makes me wonder about the cost-effectiveness of tools. What do you consider, from a purely cost-benefit perspective, your best investment in a tool?

Felicity was on for 4 years, and we never did find out what was in Meghan's box did we? Meghan was Felicity's Goth roommate that protected her "secret" box. She was always asking Felicity, "You didn't look in my box, did you?" Felicity never did that I know of, but I wish she had. I stopped watching towards the end so I would love to know if the secret was ever revealed. The Twilight Zone style episode in black and white doesn't count. I consider that a "dream sequence." If the creators ever revealed the secret contents I would love to know!
