Natural Genius: The Gifts of Asperger's Syndrome

This is one of the best accounts written by a mother about her son who has Asperger's.  Asperger's, a neurobiological condition which is the spectrum partner to autism is considered by many to be a higher functioning form of autism.  Ben, the young man featured in this book does not sound anywhere near the severe or more "autistic" end of the spectrum; rather, this brilliant, bilingual and highly musical young man displays many Asperger's tendencies such as mental rigidity and love of order.  A logical and very interesting person, Ben is also a Beatles fan who can play the Beatles' songs as the Beatles themselves did.  Beatle fans, neurotypical and those on the spectrum will certainly find a friend in Ben.
