Back in the late '70s and through 1985 I used to watch A Prairie Home Companion on TV. I'm not sure anymore about the dates. But I'm pretty sure it was on PBS Television on Saturday nights. . I thought the movie was right on the mark. The stage was just as it was in the Movie. In the TV shows, though you could see parts of the audience and theater at times. . There was a blonde singer, that maybe Meryl Streep played. I used to watch the show just to see her. I always imagined a romance between her and Keillor. The movie does suggest a past romance between Streep's character and Keillor. She left the show after a while and I stopped watching it. .. I must confess that I was never sure whether or not it was a real radio show with real advertisers. . I thought Streep was just great. . Who was that blonde lady, girl, woman?
