Interesting Askville Questions:
Basic Friendly Advice Needed: I am receiving a Magnavox 20" flat panel LCD TV with NTSC tuner, but I need helpful advice on the following: 1) What else do I need to puchase to fully get up and running:1) A surge protector? 2) A HDTV receiver? IF I do not have Cable TV (yet), so do I need to purchase an Antenna? Thanks.
If the TV is turned on, everything's fine. But if I try to set the timer and record with the TV off, I get the error message "your TV does not allow display of their program through the DVI input source. Please choose another TV input source." This is happening on two new TV's...an LG and a Samsung...both LCD flat panel. Both are hooked up to an HD cable box via HDMI cables. In addition, a cable goes into the VCR and out to the TV.
I am looking not just for the specific LCD part # and name for a specific LCD TV model, but would also like to find substitutes for each LCD TV.
