8:50 Am October 8, 2005 (Stories of Hope and Courage from the Earthquake in Pakistan)

8:50 a.m. on 8 October 2005 marks the moment that brought life to
standstill in Pakistan's north, as a killer quake jolted the region from
Islamabad to the beautiful valleys of Azad Kashmir. Fatima Bhutto who
visited the affected areas, has recorded and compiled the inspiring
accounts of those affected - victims and volunteers- as a tribute to their
hope, courage, and resilience in the face of calamity.

The profits and royalties from the sale of this book will be
donated to the children affected by the earthquake through The Edhi
Foundation and The Citizen's Foundation.

Interesting Askville Questions:
I had a 3-volume set of children's stories in the late 50's/early 60's. Each volume was a different color, no dust jackets. 1-3 where bright pink, bright blue, and canary yellow respectively. The pink volume was pitched toward younger readers, the yellow volume was pitched toward young adults, and the blue was in the middle. Can anyone identify what this set is??? I have searched for it for many years, without any success at determining the titles or publisher. Thanks!!

This one is a little different...I hope the values come up clear/in position. Race car drivers: A. Bruno Velvet - 7 hrs 20 min B. Isaac Checkers - 8 hrs 26 min C. Damien Wallis - 9 hrs 20 min D. Samuel Blackborough - 9 hrs 40 min E. Arthur Hastings - a) 8 hrs 20 min b) 8 hrs 26 min c) 9 hrs 20 min d) 7 hrs 14 min Each racing driver takes a different length of time to complete the race. Can you unravel the connection between the name of the driver and the time, and work out how long Arthur Hastings took? (clue: the values are based on vowels and consonants).
